A New Hampsire theatre company built on a love for storytelling, community, and creating together.
We believe that performing arts should be accessible to everyone, thus we pride ourselves on having low production fees and free admission to our performences. We want to build a loving, supportive enviroment where everyone, be it cast or crew, can have a say in the creative process of each show.
Part of our vision is to keep supporting the homeschool community, where so many gifted young actors and dedicated families have found a space to learn and shine. That is where we got our start and found our love of producing amazing shows. We’re all in on keeping that connection.
Evan Welch has been involved in the theatre world since the age of 14. While he started as a performer, Evan has been choreographing and music directing shows since he was 17. Some credits include: Seussical Jr. - Agape Players, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief - Kids Coop Theatre, and Mary Poppins Jr. - Agape Players. As co-founder of First Act, Evan is excited to use his love of theatre to guide a new generation of young actors and actresses.
Kellie Welch discovered her love for theatre thanks to her son, Evan, who asked to join his homeschool co-op’s drama class back in 8th grade. What started as volunteering behind the scenes quickly grew into a true passion for the stage and for guiding young performers. Four years later, Kellie stepped up to lead that co-op’s drama program, where she transformed The Agape Players into a thriving homeschool theatre group and produced 10 shows filled with laughter, learning, and lots of heart. Now, as co-founder of First Act Productions, Kellie is excited to continue building community, sparking creativity, and helping students shine both on and off the stage.
